This latest rate action will help the pockets of more than 498,000 Floridians and some policyholders may see up to -11.2% rate decreases. This is fantastic news and I encourage other companies to continue following suit.”
Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia said, “Florida’s insurance market is getting stronger by the day and this announcement is yet another example of the success of our tort reforms. These auto insurance rate decreases will help Florida families keep more of their hard-earned money in their pockets, especially our military families. I am proud to work with Commissioner Yaworsky and Florida’s insurers to continue to announce more rate decreases for Floridians in the future.”
This latest targeted rate reduction is not the first action from USAA to assist policyholders. From December 2025 to July 2026, USAA provided nearly $1 billion in rate reductions and direct member returns to Florida members. This includes a $500 million dividend to approximately 830,000 members.
Florida’s auto insurance market continues to show strong growth and stability. As of this Fall, the top five auto groups are showing a 2026 indicated rate change of -12.6%, affecting 81% of Florida’s auto market. Florida ranked #1 as the state with the lowest personal auto liability loss ratio, recorded at 52.5% in 2025—the lowest recorded for Florida in the last 15 years.
